| 1981 : | the founder of electron design, patrick deese, gets his first computer, an apple IIe. it smoked along with a dual floppy drive and 16k ram. it cost more than one of the professional set ups we use in the offices today. |
| 1986 : | patrick graduates from tabor academy and begins college at the university of texas in austin, texas. |
| 1988 : | patrick first becomes active on the internet (the real one) at UT. |
| 1991 : | tim berners-lee's program "world wide web" was released for the internet. www is a hypertext system for publishing information on the internet. the early concept of hypertextuality was developed by years before by ted nelson, in the out-of-print book literary machines. |
| 1988 - 1993 : | patrick self-publishes over 15 chapbooks and "zines" using photocopiers, silkscreens, a macintosh and a laser printer. learns about design, marketing and production values the hard way. a few samples of this early work can be seen in the graphic design portfolio. |
| 1993 - 1995 : | patrick begins working at europa books, an independent bookstore. creates all print ads, catalogs and online presence for the next 2 years. a sample of this work can also be found in the graphic design portfolio. |
| 1994 : | patrick creates his first web pages. and stops using photocopiers in favor of the world wide web. |
| september 1994 : | patrick joins fringeware, inc. an internet culture magazine and website. |
| march 8, 1998 : | patrick moves to san miguel de allende, mexico |
| march 17, 1999 : | fringeware.com, the website that patrick has been a partner and contributor for over 4 years garners the much coveted netscape cool site award, which increases traffic by 40% to over 12,000 visitors per day. |
| august 1999 : | electron design becomes a texas corporation. (charter number #01544793) |
